    Mark Allen Dacascos was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 26, 1964. According to Mark that is the year of the dragon in Chinese astrology. Mark is a rich combination of Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, and Irish. What a god combination for Mark is definitely as talented as he is good looking. Mark started studying martial arts with his father at the tender age of four. Mark has a 3rd degree black belt in his father�s style of Wun Hop Kuen Do. He is a student of Professor Jiang Hao Quan who teaches various styles of Shao-Lin as well as Chin-na, Shui-jao and Tai-chi. Mark is also a Capoeira student of Amen Santo who played Mark�s teacher in the movie �Only the Strong.� Explaining a little bit about Capoeira, Capoeira is a Brazilian blend of dance, music and fighting techniques which originated in Africa. Since all martial arts are beautiful, this one must be wonderful to learn.

    Mark was born in Hawaii but primarily lived in Hamburg, Germany. He has won four different martial arts titles in his lifetime, starting with in 1980 when he won the Hamburg Junior Martial arts Championship. He won the German Junior Championship in 1982. In that same year he won the Italian Kung Fu Lightweight Championship, and the European Kung Fu Lightweight Championship. Mark has many film and television projects underneath his belt. He has worked or guest starred on television shows like The Scream (M.O.W.), Bio-Man, Nasty Boys, Doogie Howser, a ten month recurring role on General Hospital, Dragnet, The Flash, Tales from the Crypt in December of 1994, One West Waikiki, and now he is the star of his own syndicated television show, where he plays the role of Eric Draven in 'The Crow: Stairway to Heaven.'
